Tamil Nadu Leader of the Opposition and DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin led an intensive grassroots campaign across Mamandur, mobilizing voters in support of DMK candidate E. Paranthaman for the Maduranthakam Assembly by-election. Guided by DMK President M.K. Stalin, Udhayanidhi traversed rural hamlets and agricultural heartlands alongside senior party leaders E.V. Velu and T.M. Anbarasan, urging the electorate to transform the by-election into a stinging rebuke against backroom horse-trading and administrative decay. Addressing energetic gatherings of farmers, youth workers, and local families, Udhayanidhi underlined that the by-election was artificially forced upon Maduranthakam through cynical political defection engineered by the ruling dispensation. He contrasted the regime’s transactional maneuvers with the Dravidian movement’s foundational principles of social justice, constitutional integrity, and transparent democratic representation, stressing that electoral mandates must remain accountable to the public rather than corporate backers. Highlighting the mounting economic hardship triggered by chronic power outages, spiraling inflation, and stalled rural infrastructure under the current administration, Udhayanidhi called upon youth wing cadres to intensify house-to-house outreach.
