Udhayanidhi Stalin Signs Nationwide Anti-NEET Campaign Led by Anitha’s Family, Calls Centralized Entrance Test an Institutional Fraud

Tamil Nadu Leader of the Opposition and DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin formally signed a nationwide signature petition demanding the total abolition of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Organized by the Anti-NEET Joint Movement alongside Mani Rathnam, brother of the late Ariyalur medical aspirant Anitha, the campaign mobilizes civic and student groups across Indian states against the centralized testing regime. Recalling how Anitha’s supreme sacrifice sparked a grassroots movement that now reverberates across the country, Udhayanidhi stated that the examination represents an institutional fraud designed to enrich commercial coaching syndicates. He stressed that arbitrary entrance barriers strip state governments of their federal rights in medical administration while systematically locking out rural, backward-class, and Dalit students who excel in state board curricula. Affirming the Dravidian model’s commitment to social justice and universal educational access, Udhayanidhi demanded that medical admissions revert to Class 12 qualifying marks under state jurisdiction. He called upon youth forums and democratic forces nationwide to intensify the signature drive until the Union government scraps NEET and restores equitable admission pathways.
