During the peak October rain emergency, Udhayanidhi inspected the vulnerable banks of Narayanapuram Lake between Pallikaranai and Kovilambakkam at 12:30 a.m. He returned to the exact same location at 5 p.m. the following day to verify flood mitigation measures and water discharge, alongside inspecting the GCC ICCC.
